DFM Connect is a group of authorised firms providing discretionary investment management services to financial
advisers and their clients.
The group exists as a forum in which topical issues impacting upon DFM business can be debated in confidence
and in which activities aimed at enhancing DFM relationships (e.g. investment events, learning programmes) can
be developed and progressed.
DFM Connect aims to:
Make the industry aware of the services that DFMs can provide (whether directly to the adviser or via a platform) and of the benefits that these services can confer on advisers and their clients.
Educate about the risks and realities of outsourcing to a DFM, taking account of the regulatory responsibilities of each party and the need for appropriate due diligence processes.
Work collaboratively with advisers and other parties in the distribution chain with a view to improving business practices and enhancing the overall investment experience for their clients.
